Game Rules: Kings Rules ChXess
Objective:
Defeat the opponent’s king by capturing it or causing the opponent to lose all their pieces. A king claims DEFEAT if it loses all its pieces on the board.
Starting Position:
- White moves first, and players take turns.
- The king, queen, and berserker start in protected castle squares.
- The game involves pieces like King, Queen, Berserker, Kingshield, Warrior, Stone.
Piece Movements:
1. King:
- Moves in an L-shape: 2 squares forward and 1 sideways or vice versa.
- Takes an opponent's piece by occupying its tile.
- Can enter play at any time but can't return to the castle square once in play.
- Cannot be put in check; must move out of check. Multiple check result in a loss.
2. Kingshield:
- Moves diagonally any number of squares, forward or backward.
- Can jump over one of its own stones at a time.
- Captures opponent's Warriors, Kingshield, or Queen by occupying their tile.
3. Warrior:
- Moves one square in any direction.
- Captures opponent's piece diagonally.
- Can jump over multiple own colored stones but can't capture multiple opponents in one move.
4. Stone:
- Moves up to two squares in any direction.
- Cannot be taken except by the Berserker.
- Cannot jump over other stones.
5. Queen:
- Moves in any direction, any number of squares, unless blocked by stones.
- Captures opponent's piece by occupying its tile.
6. Berserker:
- Moves like the Queen, forward or backward, horizontally or diagonally.
- Can capture enemy pieces and break opponents Stones.
Draw Scenario:
- The game ends in a draw if a player's king’s cannot make a move in any direction and is blocked by every piece.
Winning Scenario:
- Capture the opponent's king to win the game.
Losing Scenario:
- The king declares defeat if it loses all forces on the game board (KingShield and Warrior) but not stones.
